In Angry, Drunken Dwarves, you are an angry, drunken dwarf. Why are you so angry? Who knows. But you've decided to take your aggression out on other dwarves, by dropping gems on their heads. Lots of gems. ADD is a member of the classic "falling blocks" puzzle game family, similar to the Capcom game Puzzle Fighter. The goal of the game is to build large gems by matching up colors, then break them, raining more gems down onto your opponent. The first person whose field fills up, loses.
ADD runs on all major operating systems. It has seven playable characters, six levels of AI, secret game modes and characters, and an original soundtrack.
Angry, Drunken Dwarves requires you to have Python 2.3 and Pygame 1.6.2 or better. The Windows package includes these.

To download the latest version of ADD using the Subversion source code management system, you can run the following command:
$ svn co http://svn.sacredchao.net/svn/angrydd/trunk/angrydd
Unless you intend on writing code, getting the released versions is probably a better idea.
To begin, select either Dwarf versus Dwarf (two players) or Arcade Mode (play against progressively harder AIs in succession) from the main menu.
In single player modes like Arcade Mode, you can use the arrow keys to move the block; up will rotate the piece, if you have that option turned on in the setup. In Dwarf versus Dwarf, player 1 uses a and s to move the piece left and right, and d to drop. q and e will rotate the piece. Player 2 uses j, l, k, u, and o similarly.
When using joysticks or gamepads, you may want to turn off the option that makes up rotate the piece.
Joe Wreschnig is the designer and programmer. All bug reports should go to him. Feature requests not already listed will probably not be entertained.
