Watts roadmap

Recent development has given me better insights into Watts' strengths and weaknesses. While I don't have release milestones set at the moment, this is basically where I'm going with Watts at the moment:

  1. Clean up the scoring event and song related code
  2. Clean up play.c-related code
  3. Finish and test BMS support (0.2.0?)
  4. Finish input related code (0.3.0?)
  5. Fix DWI parsing

After that's complete, generally ...

Watts repository

Watts is currently maintained in CVS on my hard drive again. (Sorry x.x ) The Arch setup was starting to become confusing, even to me. However, the arch repository is still there, it's just no longer being updated.

Archive name: arashi@kai.vm.bytemark.co.uk--2004

Archive location: http://kai.vm.bytemark.co.uk/~arashi/arch/

Main development branch category: watts--mainline--0.2

Please note that I've cycled my archive to --2004. I anticipate cycling to a signed --2004s archive once GNU Arch's GPG signing capabilities become a bit more mature (i.e., some time after tla 1.3 is released).

Colin Walters' Rhythmbox development page was an inspiration for how to lay out the repository information on this page. (If you use GNOME, I highly recommend Rhythmbox for music playing.)

Using Arch

If you're new to GNU Arch, I suggest you start by reading Tom Lord's tutorial, arch meets hello-world. If you're into wikis, there is also a GNU Arch wiki. (Even if you're not, it has a lot of good information on it.)
